Welcome!

We know it can take courage to visit a church for the first time. If you've got any questions you'd like answered before joining us on a Sunday, please email us staff@a2cc.org.

Our Congregation

• We are a multi-generational, multi-ethnic community.
• We gather on Sundays and throughout the week. See community life page.
• We are heavily involved in and committed to doing justice work in the greater Ann Arbor area.

Sundays

• We gather for worship on Sundays from 11am until 12:15 or 12:30pm. Kids stay in the sanctuary for the opening worship set.
• Children's Ministry is available for crawling babies through 5th graders. Youth Ministry (MS-HS students) meets the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. All volunteers are background checked and trained annually.
• We worship through song, hear a sermon, pray in a variety of ways, and receive communion.
• Dress is casual.
• Afterwards we hang out for awhile enjoying DJ's donuts, pretzels and GF/vegan treats.

Our Beliefs

• We affirm the central truths of the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed.
• We practice a centered-set approach to doing church.
• We learn from and integrate practices from the four main streams of the Church: Liturgical, Charismatic, Evangelical, and Social Justice.

Our History

For nearly fifty years, our community has gathered in different places and under different names—Emmaus Fellowship, The Vineyard of Milan/Ann Arbor. The church was born in the mid-1970s with a handful of University of Michigan students meeting for worship in a dorm room. As we grew, we found a home in Milan in the 1990s and later moved into our current building, the former Ann Arbor Civic Theatre. Many people over decades have faithfully and sacrificially invested in this community. We are grateful for their faith, hope and love.

In 2025, we discerned a call to become something new—building on the foundation of our past but stepping forward as a fresh expression of faith for the future. Ann Arbor Community Church was born from that calling: a place of belonging, healing, justice, and joy.

Today, we are a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, Spirit-led community, cultivating belonging and seeking transformation for the good of our cities. We would love for you to be part of this unfolding story.
