It's back! Plan to stay after church on Sunday, July 19 for a beach party including food for all diets and games for all ages. Up your game by dressing beachy, bringing a salad or dessert to share, or helping with set up, clean up, or games. Thank Constance in advance for preparing the main dishes and drinks for us! Some of us are planning to visit people detained at the North Lake Detention Center in Baldwin, Michigan, on Saturday, August 8–Sunday, August 9. Travel and timing details are still being finalized. If you'd like to join, please sign up here: https://forms.gle/Kbo5YNLYfMhG1DJJ7. You can also support detainees by donating a new backpack by August 2 filled with toiletries & shelf-stable snacks. Put them in the red bins in the lobby. They'll be given to folks upon release who often leave empty handed and with a long journey ahead of them.
On the second Sunday of every month, anyone who's new is invited to join us for Meet and Eat after the service. It’s a relaxed time to meet other new folks, get to know our pastors and some long-time members, and learn more about who we are as a church and how you can get involved. We'll enjoy meaningful conversation over a light lunch, and kids are welcome.
We will be offering baptisms at church on Sunday, August 30. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward surrender and commitment to follow Jesus. It is a sacred, joyful sacrement!
