Anchored: in the Welcome of Christ

Martha brilliantly and beautifully unpacks Romans 14:1-15:7 for us. She counters common cultural narratives around welcome and invites us to consider how Christ practiced welcome. Martha helps us see that Christ's welcome is an experience of powerlessness, of pure grace (with no illusion about deserving what they've been given), and the realization that humanity stands on the same footing before God. This is a word we need for the days that we're in. Martha's wisdom and grace calls us to the countercultural, cruciform way of Christ.
